Veterinarians

Dr. Grambow

Dr. Grambow

Veterinarian

Dr. Grambow has been a small animal vet for 31 years, and he’s still super passionate about every aspect of his job and the awesome team he works with! He’s got an amazing wife, 2 grown kids, and a fantastic daughter-in-law. They love getting together as a family and traveling.

In his free time, Dr. Grambow is all about diving into different topics like theology, whole-person stewardship, drumming/music/art, and leadership. He also enjoys hiking, kayaking, fly fishing, cooking, and indulging in “escapism” (Tolkien and all things Batman).

Dr. Duffield

Dr. Duffield

Veterinarian

Dr. Duffield joined the Central Animal Hospital team in 2021. Nick was raised southern Ohio, across from Huntington, WV. He graduated from The Ohio State College of Veterinary medicine after attending Marshall University (“We Are Marshall!”). Nick now resigns in New England with his wife Abigail and two fur kids Harley and Lilly. Nick’s veterinary interests include surgery and internal medicine but his favorite part of being a veterinarian is the relationships he gets to form with patients and their people.

When Dr. Duffield is not caring for his patients he enjoys golfing, playing drums and guitar, as well as travelling, and spending time with friends & family. Being a New England newcomer, he looks forward to exploring all this region has to offer from its food and sports to its history, natural beauty, and beyond!

Leadership

Alycia W.

Alycia W.

Practice Manager

Alycia is our Practice Manager. She first joined the team in 2019 as a veterinary technician and worked her way up to her management role. She has over 13 years of experience in the veterinary industry with small animals and exotics, as well as surgery, client care, and management. In 2016, she graduated from North Shore Community College with her Associate’s Degree in Animal Care. She speaks feline and canine fluently.

Outside of work, Alycia loves spending time with her daughter Abriella, as well as her four kitties, three dogs, and bearded dragon, Mopar. Over the recent years, when Alycia is not working, she has been broadening her baking and cooking skills. One day Alycia would love to be on one of the baking competition shows, for the fun of course. She also loves spending time at Lake Winnipesaukee or in Maine. She enjoys snowboarding, car racing, boating, and scary movies.

Technicians

Magge N.

Magge N.

Veterinary Technician / Veterinary Care Coordinator

Magge holds a split position at our hospital as a veterinary assistant and client service representative. She has always had a passion for animals and animal care. She volunteered with various animal organizations through high school and college, before following her passion into dog training. Magge enjoys helping owners develop a clear relationship with their dogs based on trust, which allows owners to give their dogs as free and safe a life as possible.

Magge’s interest in animal care extends beyond dog training, and she is excited to jump into this role as it gives her the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of a lot of family pets!

In her free time, Magge can be found goofing around with her pups Ethos and Swamp, out on hikes, or finding a new craft to get into.

Jessica W.

Jessica W.

Veterinary Technician

Jessica graduated from Essex Technical and Agricultural School in 2019, where she studied Companion Animals. From there, she worked at her local pet store for three years, where she was able to meet and assist many pet owners and all their wonderful pets.

Jessica’s favorite part about being able to work with animals is being able to make a difference in the pet’s life as well as their owners. She is excited to be able to meet more friendly and furry faces at Central Animal Hospital!

When Jessica is not at work, she is most likely keeping up with all the different animals in her life! She currently owns 4 sugar gliders named Bailey, Elliot, Meadow, and Stella as well as two crested geckos named Drogo and Rhaegal. Every morning Jessica eats breakfast with the neighborhood cat Xandir before work and plays with him once she gets home. Despite not liking the cold, Jessica has lived in Massachusetts her whole life! She loves to find new places and try new activities within New England!

In her free time, Jessica likes to go jet skiing, rock climbing, rollerblading, and spending time with her family and friends.

Michelle

Michelle

Veterinary Technician

My journey into animal care began a bit later than most. My adult life began as a Professional Figure Skater, and I was fortunate to tour the US and Canada with “Ice Capades” for 6 years. Upon unpacking my suitcases and trunk, I began the honor of working for the Essex County Sheriff’s Dept. for 20 years and retired as a Sergeant in 2012. Finally, I was able to make caring for animals a new career. I have worked in ER and Specialty Vet settings as well as general practice and I am so happy to have finally landed at Central Animal Hospital. I love learning new skills, especially anesthesia and surgery, and I stay busy taking on-line classes as a vet tech to stay current.

My current menagerie includes a Papillon, 9 chickens, 3 cats and two adult children. Someday I hope to live outside of the city to add ducks, more chickens (because they’re awesome), goats, a koi pond, maybe an Alpaca or two and a horse, all surrounded by a variety of apple trees! A girl can dream, right?!

In my spare time you might find me singing and dancing in a local musical theatre, coaching and/or skating in competitive Theater on Ice, Synchronized Skating or re-designing the landscaping around the house and chicken coop.
